So many times we try to say the right thing for the right reasons and end up kicking ourselves as we hobble away from the encounter after chewing vigorously on our own foot.

As an example of how much energy we have and how to help others understand we have to pace ourselves the spoon theory is great. However, it offers no help to the friend or family member trying to lend emotional support.

Where are you in the circle is the question and who is in there with you? Read the following article and understand that I prefer not to reinvent the wheel when someone else has already created it and done a fine job.
